I spent a little tine in Juneau Alaska today. It has always been my dream toglacier visit Alaska and I am spending the next 5 days in the most beautiful state I have ever seen by far. Every state is pretty in places but nothing comes close to Alaska. It is big, amazing and breath taking. The mountains are more rugged and more abundant. The air is cleaner and more refreshing. Alaska is an unspoiled wilderness.

Mendenhall Glacier is just a few miles outside Juneau Alaska. It is the only glacier you drive to. Talk about massive and impressive like everything in Alaska.

While in Juneau I went whale watching. Juneau has a large population of humpback whale and some whaleorcas. I did not see any orca but there was fair amount of humpback whales. Unfortunately I wasn’t able to get close as I would like due to regulations put into place for the protection of the whale. Nonetheless it was an unforgettable experience to see these massive beast in the pristine Alaskan waters. I didn’t get very many photos as there were too far away and the light was plain from the overcast day. I did get a few classic tail shots but nothing to write home about. While whale watching also saw seals, Herbert and Eagle glaciers.
