Tonight is the Powerball record breaking 365 million dollar lottery drawing. I know I will never win but I bought a ticket anyway. Yes the chance is slim but the chance of winning is a lot better if you buy a ticket then if you didn’t.
What would I do with that kind of money? It is fun to dream because that is all I will be doing. With that kind of money I can live anywhere I choose. I love photography and astronomy and I want solitude. The place will have to have great landscape for breath taking photos. It will have to have a very low population density. For astronomy I would require a place with many clear nights of dark pristine skies. Can’t think of a better place then New Mexico.
I would buy a plot of land in the desert but close to the mountains in northern New Mexico. I would build a nice rustic but modern four to five bedroom house that fit the landscape and personified the great outdoors. Oh yeah since I am big into astronomy I would build a nice observatory that houses lets say a 36 inch dob.
With that kind of money I could have any car I wish and many of them. So what would I get, A Porsche, Lamborghini or a Hyundai? No just a Chevy 4X4 pickup similar to what I have now except extended cab. I would just get one vehicle after all there is just one of me and I can’t drive 10 cars at the same time.
I would also travel a fair amount. I would love to go to Alaska, Africa, Asia well just about anywhere I have never been to. I hear Uzbekistan is a hot vacation spot. I will probably go there first. Eventually I will visit every country of the world well Iraq is not a good place to visit right now.
Yeah $365 million would be great to have but all I can do is dream and then wake up and slave at work.
